This posting is for an officer to support core operations and projects. The successful candidates will split her or his time between reporting to two directors.

Description

Responsibilities

Corporate Finance:

  1. Review Company financial records and statements for accuracy

  2. Maintain Company accounting system in QuickBooks, developing templates and customisation of the system as required

  3. Report and make transfers for monthly taxes (online)

  4. Report and make transfers to BPJS Ketenagakerjaan monthly (online with manual payment)

  5. Maintain and file financial and reporting records

  6. Make payments in Company bank account according to SOP and payment requests (online).

  7. Submit and make payment for annual company tax reports required by law

  8. Maintain payments and invoicing to clients based on contracts with clients and service providers

Operations:

  1. Support the maintenance of communications materials

  2. Identify and liaise with service providers 

  3. Maintain Human resource records

  4. Review and suggest revisions to the finance sections of the Company's Standard Operating  Procedures.

  5. Report to KEMNAKER monthly (online)

  6. Prepare draft contracts for consultants

  7. Perform additional operational and project support tasks such as scheduling, drafting letters, making travel arrangements and so on.

  8. Conduct desk-based fact-finding 

  9. Support report and proposal development (eg.content list, references, abbreviation list, annexes, check consistency with requirements etc)

  10. Take notes during the meeting with clients

  11. Draft letters, compile numerical and qualitative data in spreadsheets

Requirements

The suitable candidate will have the following attributes:

 

  • At least 3 years of institutional accounting and financial administration experience in Indonesia, including book keeping, tax reporting, BPJS payments etc.

  • At least 1 year of corporate of human resource administration experience

  • Demonstrated interest in international development and/or environmental issues preferred 

  • Excellent administrative skills

  • Experience with Quickbooks preferred

  • Accounting degree preferred

  • Flexibility in work environment and willingness to build systems and standards

  • Fluent in in Bahasa Indonesia and professional competence in English

 

This position is only open to candidates who have the existing legal right to work in Indonesia. The Dala Institute will not sponsor work or stay permits in Indonesia.

As a small company, Dala does not offer the facilities of medical insurance or pensions beyond the mandatory requirements of BPJS Kesehatan and Ketenagakerjaan. In lieu of these benefits, Dala will provide a fixed amount until such facilities are provided to employees.

Facilities and Benefits

This  position is for between 30-40 hours per week. Candidates may propose between this range and will not have any advantage or disadvantage due to their proposal. The employment contract will be for one (1) year with the possibility of renewal. 

 

The salary range for this position is Rp. 6 to 7,8 million per month (gross) full-time paid in Indonesian Rupiah beyond which may only be offered in exceptional circumstances. The rate offered will depend on each candidate's qualifications and experience relevant to the positions. New employees will start with 20 days of vacation + the total number of national holidays per year (pro-rated).

 

The position is based within commuting distance to Denpasar, Indonesia. Dala provides a flexible work arrangement both in terms of location and working hours, the terms of which may be agreed upon by the employee and her or his supervisor. Working hours are flexible, however, Dala employees are expected to be available for meetings and communications during normal working hours Monday to Friday. The Officer will be required to work at least two days per week in a satellite office in Sukawati (starting September 2020), provided by the company. The other days may be spent in a location of the Officer’s choosing at her or his expense.

 

Successful candidates are expected to supply their own equipment and facilities required for work: computer, internet connection and mobile phone. The operating costs of these facilities will be accounted for in the agreed upon salary. No relocation allowance will be provided.
